Xiris Welding Monitoring Camera
LLC “Intellectual Robotic Systems” supplies and provides turnkey installation of innovative systems for remote monitoring of arc welding “open” processes, including: MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG, Laser, Laser-Hybrid, and EBW. XVC-O series welding video cameras can be mounted externally on small-scale mechanization systems, automated and robotic complexes, or integrated into IPG-type laser welding heads. The manufacturer and supplier is XIRIS Automatic Inc. (Canada). The XVC-1000e/1100e digital welding video camera allows operators to observe open arc welding processes in real time and perform video recording. Using advanced electronics, the XVC-1000e/1100e camera delivers impressive capabilities with a High Dynamic Range of over 140 dB, enabling visualization of the brightest features of the welding arc as well as the background or completed weld area.
The XVC-1000e/1100e digital welding video camera includes a full set of welding-specific visualization software tools and unique features to ensure unprecedented image quality and reliability across various welding and laser processes. These include arc ignition imaging, general-purpose input/output (I/O), windowed imaging capability, and a welding arc photodetector. The XVC-1000e/1100e camera is supplied in a robust IP65-rated housing that includes auxiliary lighting, internal cooling, remote control of the motorized lens, and protective front glass.

Key advantages:
- Provides real-time visualization of the weld seam during welding.
- Acts as a tool for setting the welding torch position before welding.
- Allows adjustment of workpiece position and welding parameters during welding.
- Increases productivity by extending arc-on time compared to stopping the process for manual adjustments.
- Improves health and safety by removing the welder from the welding zone, enhancing operator working conditions, efficiency, and weld quality.
- Integrated crosshair and line overlay for precise targeting.
Main specifications:
- Image dynamic range exceeding 140 dB, enabling capture of a wider tonal range than any standard camera.
- Fully digital camera solution with 8-bit or 12-bit output via Gigabit Ethernet.
- Opto-isolated I/O allows the camera to connect to external noise-generating devices such as welding equipment.
- Hardware and software triggering for synchronization with external devices.
- FPGA-based programmable logic enables firmware updates for camera control.
