Laser Metal Cladding System

Laser metal cladding enables the application of coatings with high hardness and strength, as well as the restoration of the geometry of expensive parts.
The essence of the technology lies in applying a filler material to the workpiece and subsequently melting it with a laser beam. The base material melts only minimally, which practically does not affect its internal structure. By controlling the parameters of the laser beam and using a wide range of cladding materials, the process allows achieving specific physical and mechanical properties.
Laser cladding using powder materials is often used to restore shafts, gears, dies, and similar components. It allows easy repair of defects such as chips, cracks, pores, and scoring.
We offer both cladding heads for powder and wire cladding, as well as complete laser cladding systems based on Fanuc robotic manipulators. Additionally, these heads can be used in additive manufacturing applications.
Advantages of Laser Cladding
- Improvement of part strength characteristics while maintaining the base material properties;
- Virtually no residual deformation;
- Ability to clad small surface areas comparable to the laser spot size;
- Enhanced properties of the deposited layers;
- Reduced cost of the finished part due to localized cladding.
