How does laser radiation remove contaminants?
Laser cleaning is a technological process where laser radiation acts on a layer of contaminants, removing it without affecting or minimally affecting the underlying material.
Removal occurs due to localized evaporation of the substrate surface. At the moment of evaporation, the pressure of the high-temperature vapors destroys and removes the non-metallic contamination from the metal surface. LightCLEAN integrates a unique, powerful pulsed laser whose settings allow effective surface layer removal without heating the substrate. Pre-set cleaning modes enable fast startup without manual parameter adjustment.
