Advantages of TruLase Compared to Other Welding Methods
Up to 4x faster than TIG, and up to 1.5x faster than MIG welding
No edge preparation is required. No need to wait for the weld to cool between passes. Laser welding has approximately 10 times smaller heat-affected zone, minimizing deformation and warping. The laser welding process is non-contact. No flux or electrode particles enter the molten metal. This ensures a cleaner and more precise weld, which almost does not require post-processing or cleaning.
Penetration Thickness up to 12 mm
Laser welding is ideal for stainless steel, galvanized steel, low-carbon steel, and aluminum. With a single pass, TruLase Pro can weld sheets up to 6 mm thick, and with double-sided welding up to 12 mm. This is a new level for handheld laser welding. If gap welding is required, a filler wire feeder module can be connected.
Weld Width Increase up to 5 mm
TruLase provides easy control to increase the weld width up to 5 mm and adjust the oscillation frequency of the laser beam. This feature improves weld appearance and enables welding parts with poor edge alignment.
Compactness and Ease of Use
TruLase is equipped with a compact air-liquid Direct Cooling system, eliminating the need for bulky chillers. The welding gun is compact and ergonomic, lightweight, and allows operators to weld high-quality seams throughout the work shift with safe laser activation. The system is simple, and the intuitive connection allows both beginners and experienced welders to start quickly.
One-Pass Welding
Pre-set and user-defined modes optimize welding of materials with different thicknesses. Pulsed modes are available to expand welding possibilities. Thanks to the high laser power density, parts can be fully welded in a single pass.
Safety System
TruLase is equipped with essential safety sensors. The welding gun has a built-in sensor that checks the contact between the nozzle and the welded part. In case of disconnection, the gun will stop the laser beam. External interlocks can also be connected.
