Advantages of TruLase Compared to Other Welding Methods
Up to 4x faster than TIG and up to 1.5x faster than MIG welding
No edge preparation is required. There is no need to wait for the weld to cool between passes. Laser welding has approximately 10 times smaller heat-affected zone, which minimizes deformation and warping. The laser welding process is non-contact, so no flux or electrode particles enter the molten pool. This ensures a cleaner and neater weld seam that requires little to no post-processing.
Penetration depth up to 8 mm
Laser welding is ideal for stainless steel, galvanized steel, low-carbon steel, and aluminum. With a single-sided pass, the TruLase Base can weld sheets up to 4 mm thick, and up to 8 mm with a double-sided pass. When welding with a gap, a wire feeding module can be connected.
Weld width increase up to 5 mm
TruLase allows easy adjustment of weld bead width up to 5 mm and selection of oscillation frequency of the output beam. This feature improves visual appearance of the weld and enables welding of parts with poor edge fit-up.
Compact and easy to operate
TruLase is equipped with a compact air-liquid cooling system (Direct Cooling), eliminating the need for bulky chillers. The welding gun is compact and ergonomic, lightweight, and allows operators to weld high-quality seams throughout the work shift with safe laser activation. The intuitive system and simple connections make it suitable for both beginners and experienced welders.
Single-pass welding
Preset and user-defined modes optimize welding for materials of different thicknesses; pulse modes are available to expand welding capabilities. Due to the high laser power density, penetration is achieved in a single pass.
Safety system
TruLase is equipped with mandatory safety sensors. The gun contains a sensor that detects contact between the nozzle and the workpiece. If the contact is interrupted, the gun will stop laser output. External interlocks can also be connected.
