A tube sheet is a metal plate with drilled through-holes forming a mesh. The main function of such a product is to secure the tubes of a heat exchange surface and assemble them into a tube bundle. There are four ways to arrange the tubes: staggered, corridor, radial, and concentric circles. Due to their specific design, tube grids have a narrow application but are an essential component in products such as shell-and-tube heat exchangers, condensers, boilers, etc.

Technical Requirements

Manufacturing a tube sheet is a complex process due to high precision requirements for the holes and the large number of drilling operations. Therefore, these products are produced on CNC machines. Several standards apply to tube sheets in our country: GOST 15118–69, 13202–77, 13203–77, 55601-2013.

Typical products have the following specifications:

• Outer diameter: 530 to 3690 mm;
• Thickness: 30 to 75 mm;
• Operating temperature: -70 °C to 450 °C;
• Tube diameters: 16, 20, 25, 38, 57 mm;
• Material: steel 20, 09G2S, 20X13, and other high-carbon and alloyed structural steels.
